how fix disappearance of conky under antiX

 

step 1: login to an IceWM session from your desktop computer or laptop
computer, no other components involved.

 every single time that you are in IceWM and turn off your computer and then turn it back on, you are are logging in to an IceWM session. Everytime that you restart your session? the same. Every time that you click the antiX Menu > Exit and then, in the submenu that comes up when you hover the mouse pointer over it and select “Restart IceWM”, you are not really logging out and back in but “restarting” the same IceWM session.

Step 2: run the following commands, one by one.

echo "Alpha=0" >> ~/.icewm/preferences
tail ~/.icewm/preferences

Make sure that Alpha=0 is the last line; if it isn’t, that’s the problem!

 

step 3   icewm --restart

step 4 shut down & turn on the computer
